Set Breakdown:
This is the complete series 2 seasons with 26 episodes. The series has been cleaned, enhanced and upscaled in 720p HD. The second season does contain a watermark as a “G4” logo. Screenshots are taken from my 60” LCD TV with an iPhone. Enjoy. 🙂
All of my sets come with an interactive menu so you can easily navigate to each episode. The episodes are presented in air date order.
The Story:
The plot of Code Monkeys revolves around the fictitious video game company GameaVision (a play on companies like Activision and Intellivision) and its eccentric employees, mainly the slacker Dave and his high-strung friend Jerry. The entire series takes place in the Silicon Valley city of Sunnyvale, California during the 1980s. Code Monkeys relies on crude humor and stoner comedy to convey the numerous references to video games, past and present, but mostly games from the 8-bit era. This also extends to cameos from well known video game developers, who appear in the show pitching their ideas to GameaVision for the games that would later make them famous, usually to be rejected, insulted, and sometimes injured or killed off.
Playback breakdown:
Standard Blu-ray player: This has the highest playback of all options. I recommend this option if available to you – please make sure your Blu-ray player is fully updated for the best playback experience.
PlayStation 3: I have tested my sets on my PS3, I have a generation 1 FAT model with a firmware of 4.43 and it plays fine. Remember that playback of PS3 is determined by the version of the system and the update you’re on.
PlayStation 4: This has the highest playback of the PlayStation systems. Quality of playback is determined by the version of the system and the update you are currently on. Make sure your system is fully updated for the best playback.
Xbox One: Based on customers reports Xbox has the lowest playback of all game systems. There are some ways to improve playback by updating the system and making sure the Blu-ray app in the system has the newest update. Playback is determined by the version of the system and the update you’re on.
All of this information is based on customer reports and personal experience. I would urge you to go through my feedback to see other customers experiences with playback. Many customers have had great success playing these on game systems. I put this here to be open and honest with you so you can have the best experience possible.
Running these Blu-rays on a video game consoles could result in playback issues based on all the information above.

So grateful Monsterland Media added this set to their collection. I LOVED this show when it first aired on G4TV and had hoped at some point it would show up as a complete series collection. This is one of the better original shows to come out of G4TV; a network I wish everyday was still on the air. This show is incredibly original and funny, and the writing and voice acting is very topical but yet poignant because it reminds you of how great and exciting video game culture was when this first aired. All episodes look great, but the thing that is impressive is all of the Extras. There are so many behind the scenes stuff and promos that I never knew even aired; you really get your money’s worth. Thanks again Monsterland Media for adding this set, I look forward to more on the way!
